Butter Cookies are 1 of those classic Christmas cookies that everyone loves. This homemade version is far improve than what you’ll detect in the tins at the store during the holidays together with this add-on of decadent chocolate takes them to a whole novel level of delicious!

I beloved these cookies because they continue good longer than most cookies, they’re perfect for gifting together with they’re such a pretty cookie.


They have a rich buttery flavor together with a satisfying crisp tender texture, and anytime a chocolate dip is involved no i can turn them away.


I made these 2 ways, the traditional season amongst vanilla extract then for a funfetti flavor (the white chocolate version with rainbow sprinkles) I added almond extract.


You tin can’t get wrong which ever road you become, fifty-fifty if you make up one's mind to skip the chocolate y'all’ll all the same accept a perfectly delicious homemade cookie!

Ingredients You’ll Need for This Recipe



  • Unsalted butter

  • Granulated saccharide

  • Salt

  • Egg yolks

  • All-purpose flour

  • Milk

  • Vanilla extract (and almond extract for funfetti flavour)

How to Make Butter Cookies



  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • In the bowl of an electrical stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment cream together butter, sugar together with salt until combined.
